Here are websites you can use to find local service projects-- and contact information for volunteer coordinators!
Your club will host one of two service projects: a community event (planned by the community) or a club-hosted one. In order to attend community events, contact (phone/email/website) a volunteer coordinator in order to express interest in volunteering! Then, you can communicate with them to attend an event!

Past Service Partners
Your home club can host service projects that help the community. By doing so, service opportunities are more accessible for members. In addition, members can bond with other members, increasing the bonds in your club. It is also recommended for your club to host an interclub with one or two other clubs in the division. This will allow for member bonding between different clubs. At these interclubs, there should be an icebreaker, then a service event, then if there is time, a social.

Pediatric Trauma Program
The Pediatric Trauma Program is a charity that aims to prevent injuries and deaths caused by pediatric trauma. Pediatric trauma is the leading cause of death for children ages 14 and under. It is the preferred charity of our district, the California-Nevada-Hawaii District, and should be the main charity that your club fundraises for.
Children's Miracle Network
CMN is a nonprofit organization that aims to help hospitalized children and increase awareness of its member hospitals, including the UC Davis Children's Hospital in Sacramento. All CMN contributions directly benefit children's hospitals, helping to purchase up-to-date equipment, train hospital workers, conduct life-saving research, implement outreach programs, and provide healthcare for children in poverty.
March of Dimes
March of Dimes is a nonprofit organization in the United States that aims to improve the health of women and babies. It was founded in 1938 by US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, in order to combat polio. It has now achieved over 110 victories on maternal and child health issues.
UNICEF
UNICEF is an agency that aims to help children in need in over 190 countries, whether it be saving, protecting, feeding, or empowering children. They have launched several projects, such as the Tap Project and the Wash Project, which aims to expand access to safe and clean water, and the Eliminate Project, which aims to eliminate maternal neonatal tetanus, a disease that severely harms women and newborn children in developing countries.
In October, your club can hold a Trick or Treat for UNICEF fundraiser, where you set up a fundraising page on unicefusa.org. Members would then promote the fundraiser to their family, friends, and even while trick-or-treating. You can find more details about this here
Erika's Lighthouse
